Microgrid Solutions

Microgrid technology offers fully integrated power systems with photovoltaic panels, energy storage, monitoring and control systems, Cat generator sets, switchgear, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).

Gensets

Cat® hybrid energy solutions facilitate the seamless integration of renewable energy with traditional power sources, such as on-site Cat generator sets. These generators serve as a reliable backup when renewable resources, like wind and solar, are unavailable. Ring Power offers Cat diesel generators that can run on biofuels and have accommodated the use of biodiesel and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) for over a decade. These fuels are available now and can help reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared to diesel.

Solar Panels

Solar energy is rapidly expanding as a clean, emission-free power source. When integrated into a hybrid microgrid, Cat's advanced solar solutions enhance resilience by converting sunlight into direct current, powering microgrids with high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules. These modules provide consistent power and feature technology to detect disruptions, allowing operation in island mode during outages.
